We are so very glad, the members of Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church are giving their pastor another chance. Pastor Willard Jones was accused of stealing almost a million dollar and now charged with the crime. However, the church members are choosing to put it all behind them. As we've said in our previous article, if they chose another one, chances are, it could get much worse.
On the other hand, there are some very ignorant members of Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church who refuse to look at the spiritual side. Some of them say they are leaving because Pastor Jones is going to remain the leader of that church. We say, so be it, leave and make room for new church members, because God does not want a spirit of un-forgiveness in His Kingdom. All their going to do is cause a lot of trouble for Pastor Jones and it will cause a distraction within the body of Christ. Therefore, if they choose to cease, then they should do so.
God expects to build strong leaders and for them to learn from their mistakes. There have been some cases when pastors were no longer allowed to keep their positions and the next pastor who took over were caught in worst scandals. Therefore, there is a such a thing as forgiveness and we desire for other churches to do the same.
In the meantime, we will continue to keep Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church of Oklahoma, including Pastor Willard Jones in prayer.
