Allegedly, Bishop T. D. Jakes is very upset Rapper Young Jeezy used one of his sermons in a rap song and now he's suing him. You see saints of God, this is why God tells us not to be a part of darkness (read I John 1:6 and Ephesians 5:11). We really do believe if Bishop T. D. Jakes was a 'full gospel' holiness preacher who did not associate with celebrities and entertainers, this wouldn't have came up. We cannot recall back in the day when men of God in the black church faced such a situation. You remember, when the black church was truly seeking God and did not bridge the gap in the body of Christ?
In our opinion, if Bishop Jakes did not condone hip hop in the church, this may not have happened. However, he allegedly along with his comrades, Long, Dollar and White have given the young and older folks permission to 'bridge the gap'. God don't like ugly. You have to be completely holy and not allow the church in God's sanctuary and keep his music clean, in order for the worldly entertainers to respect you. This guy Young Jeezy possibly idolized Bishop T. D. Jakes so much, he didn't think he would sue him, since he's so down with hip hop gospel and christian rap artists.
We certainly pray for Bishop Jakes, but God has been commanding him and the rest of his puppets to get that mess out of the church, it doesn't belong there. Galatians 6:7 says, 'Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.'
