Bishop T. D. Jakes released an article about the killing of Michael Brown, allegedly sharing his opinion about unarmed black men being killed in America, along with racial profiling. However, we ask you this question, is it racial profiling, if Brown was harming the store clerk before police gunned him down? How is his death based on racial profiling, if he stole cigars and shoved the clerk on his way out of the door?
It's time that the real preachers who are chosen by God come out of the closet and start preaching for black men (and black women) to not commit crime or cause harm to anyone. It's time to call black men and black women to stand at the alter, cry out to God,repent and vow to live and serve Him. If not, whether you be a black man or black woman just like any other race, you must reap what you sow and that's God's Word. Bishop TD Jakes may have led a multicultural flock for many years, but he has a lot in common with Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson more than we realize. His article seems to be focused on the natural and not through the spiritual eye, not forewarning black America to get right with God. He mentioned his 20-year-old son, but if his son is saved and truly surrendered to God, he should have nothing to worry about. There was a time when men and women of God kept their children on the altar and encouraged their church members to do the same, but nowadays, rich and famous pastors like Bishop TD Jakes talk as though they are secular commentators, there is no longer a foundation of pure holiness within the black church.
